life man.

hi.
so recently life's been interestingly dull. in and out of the hospital. blah blah blah. eye socket fractured by assholes.. blah blahblah...

on the flip side... it was really nice to hear from all the people who care about me. sometimes i doubt that people could should or would care about me the way they do, so this was a nice, loving slap in the face. my friend cole came over the day i left the ER, which was short butsweet and tarynnnnn came and beat me in ps2 and listened to music and bought me food the next night. pretty ideal. thanks taryn. the shit was delicious.

fucking sucks though.. surgery monday... can't skate for a whillleee.e.... .e..e.e.e. .e.e.. ugh..

music is good though. loving it. watching Frost/Nixon with my mom now.. .well waiting tofinish it.. she's on the phone with her sister in Germany.

got to talk to brennan in germany last night.. fucking dope. needed to hear from that boy.

life is good.
love you.

steven colbert and goozing cement burns

Hey young world-

today was a great day.  I got up kinna late for what I have been these days... wait but before i really got up, lol, i made the best breakfast nachos lol.. anyway.  Iended up driving my mom to and from the doctor, talked to her, then skated all day with Mere and had some great food thanks to her. I busted my shit up and got three patches of bloody rug burn lol but it was well worth it...

read a little more on the russian revo waiting on my mom, but didn't get too much further. today's intellectual stimulation was talking to my parents about Palestine/Israel. nice. I hope one day I can competently support my beliefs.

the world is fucking nuts, and it's going to drive me crazy, but it's exciting how much there has to be learned.

i'm so happy i'm not going back to school anytime soon. :) goonna read, skate, and play my ass off :) fucking the way to go.

much love, world.

I never know what to write in these things.

Life man. Life. Has thrown my ass around lately. I'm unemployed and out of school and will be for a while.... and I'm so happpy... finally. It hurt, the whole life falling apart thing, but for the first time in my recent life (at least) I'm so excited about life, and what I'm doing. I will not be going back to school for a minute, but I'm gonna do (and have started) some heavy reading on subjects I really am interested in... right now I'm starting with the Russian Revolution. Shit is so cool to learn from.  Dunno really what I believe, and hearing my grandpa talk today was soooo awesome for the forward movement of my life. All my life, I knew Stalin's reign ended the lives of his father and several of his extended family (mine too i guess huh) and I saw how easily that led to umm stuff in his life and though it sucks, I lucked out because if he didn't get out the way he did, I wouldn't be here, my mom wouldn't be here, my grandparents would have never met, etc. But hearing first hand some shit.... duuuuuude... It's the best education you can get. Yes there's biased opinions and selected memories shared and remembered, but... I'm just taking it and running. I am getting nowhere.

Soooo on the way home from Michigan with my mom, we had the best soundtrack, thanks to cds I left in her car a while back. First we jammed to some fuckin BIGGIE (who she LOVED) and then Fake Empire- The National, some Wycleffffff, Typical Cats..... then the fucking Counting Crows and sang my (our) heart(s) out... heaven... and ended it perfectly with Manu Chao.

In potentially the roughest of the rough, this is the best silkkkkkkkkkkkk.

Couldn't ask for more. I could, I guess, but I'm so happy :).

Big Up to all My Zombos

Here's the thing,  I missed a lot of teenage fun. I mean I had a blast, and I'm not complaining, I just had a strange time, and now I'm enjoying one aspect of being a teeeny weeny. The music. Doesn't get much better. There's a point where I feel fifteen again, and I'm totally down with it. No Cash, Choking Victim, Against All Authority, Reagan Youth, A Global Threat, Leftöver Crack, the rest of the bands coming from Choking VIctim, lol, and so on and so forth.  Ridiculousness that just feels so good. And ps. Zombies, I haven't forgotten about you, AND I have a highly skilled instructor. WHAT NOW ZOMBIES.

Zo What's Up

So the thing is, I walked in on a bunch of zombie hunters the other night, and I was appalled. Just kidding, I was fascinated by the passion of hunting season. They were cursing out the screen of their training sessions, what stupid humans getting bit left and right by clown zombies and shit. Who does that? So, I've decided to invest in zombie protection classes. Kind of like women's self-defense classes, except mega-awesome. I think maybe you should come with me, and we can all kick some major zombie ass. Maybe I'm wrong and I won't be able to and maybe there will be no classes, or the sessions may be filled, but I'm totally taking the chance. The instructors are pretty awesome and knowledgeable, every day learning more and so focused. Anyway I just heard The Riverdales are coming, and I was pleasantly reminded of The Queers show coming up. A nice break from zombie killer training. Come, come.

Zo I'm taking a new route

So here's the thing, I hear zombies are taking over. Seems pretty exciting. I wouldn't mind living like the original Dawn of the Dead, fuckin chillin in a shopping mall and experiencing anarchy. Wouldn't be too different, the whole zombies taking a bite out of you, besides the fact if I break into a store, I'll get broken down before I can reap the benefits. Ah well, such is life, or lack thereof. But I would be a little scared, you know? would it hurt? I can't out run a cow, let alone a hungry zombie, so there's my only dilemma. I'm kind of excited to become a zombie, eliminating the question of what the afterlife holds for me. I wouldn't mind being a zombie when this life's over, though I'd prefer being a monkey, the kind that can fly from tree to tree. I'd also like to find treats in my lover's hair, and cherish him/her more for that, but I guess biting someone's shoulder off can bring the same joy. I wouldn't have to worry about bills because my only need would be flesh, and that's free when you're a badass zombie. Education would be non-existent seeing as life would be led completely by survival instinct. I wonder how long it'd take them to get me. Probably not long. I'd have a heart attack and it'd be a field day for my future friends. Ah well, all is fair in love and war. If I were a zombie, I wonder if I'd find love, and if the love I already have would be equivalent in zombie-form. I would like to think that this "foreverness" holds true in zombie-land. Anarchy would also be interesting, only if I were a zombie though. I don't like the whole idea of the strong guys picking on the little guys, seems too much like capitalism, except replace the corporations with other strengthy things. But if we were zombies, we would just be zombies, and nothing would matter but food, and in that sense, anarchy would be awesome. I'd help out the little zombies and maybe I'd set up a nest for the weak ones and regurgitate my lunch into their helpless little mouths. Wonder if that'd be the right thing to do. I can eat for two, no problem. If I were a zombie, I'd probably have a smoking problem, weed that is, seeing as food tastes so much better, and life is revolved around eating as a zombie, I would be high all the time. I wonder if weed has the same affect on zombies as it has on us in this state. Maybe corn would be the weed of zombies. That'd be cool, seeing as Illinois has a shit load of corn. Cool. More to come on my zombie excitement.

Gone Baby Gone

The thing is, I haven't written in a long time, not that it was a loss, but.... that's still the thing. Spencer says I'm a blogger slacker, I don't think I am a blogger, I just happen to have a thingy that's on blogger.com, otherwise, this wouldn't count, :).

Anyway, 25 reasons I have been gone.

1. Work, work, work.
2. Work, work, work.
3. Work, work, work.
4. Lack of sleep.
5. Work, work, work.
6. Work, work, work.
7. Work, work, work.
9. Work, work, work.
10. Work, work, work.
11. Work.
12. Bad memory.
13. Work.
14. Work.
15. Work.
16. Spent free time in bars.
17. Work.
18. Work.
19. Work.
20. Wish I could say I've been skating.
21. Work.
22. Work.
23. Work.
24. Understaffed coffee/donut/bagel/ice cream.
25. I am gnarley marley.

Totally a waste of life.  I just can't wait to get my keyboard. I have to find a piano mover to get rid of my shitty old upright so we have room, and then they keyboard is mine! Ahh, sweet victory. I'm the luckiest kid alive. There's Regina and Kate, soon there's Gnarley.

Blogs Suck, and this totally isn't a real blog

The thing is, I suck at blogging. We'll do twenty five again. That's my only hope.

I'm stealing from Spencer, but adding ten so it fits in my ridiculousness.
Think of 25 albums, CDs, LPs (if you're over 40) that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life. Dug into your soul. Music that brought you to life when you heard it. Royally affected you, kicked you in the wasu, literally socked you in the gut, is what I mean. Then when you finish, tag 15 others, including moi. Make sure you copy and paste this part so they know the drill. Get the idea now? Good. Tag, you're it!

25 is the number

The thing is, in school I sucked at writing if I was given options. I was a good writer if I had a narrow range of personal freedom. So, putting that into "blogging," I'm going to go with that 25 craze that I have so easily fallen for. Now, there'll be different 25's to keep you on your toes... or not... but this is mainly for me. Thanks.

Today is 25 thoughts that crossed my mind today.

1. Why won't you buy my bike?

2. Fuck I'm broke.

3.  I love you.

4. I made a great lunch.

5. Sorry! Didn't mean to wake you Mere Bear.

6. Nice blog Spencer.

7. I would really like a new board.

8. I wish it were warm and sunny.

9. I want to be a police officer... wait... what?

10. I'm all out of coke. Time to refill.

11. Sure would be nice if my ollie wasn't -0.21 inches.

12. Sure would be nice if I could get somewhere skating this year.

13. I'm going to get somewhere skating this year. Even if it's only noticeable to myself.

14. Chris Brown is a homosexual.

15. So is Missy.

16. So I hear Whitney is coming back with a bang. I sure hope so. I can't wait.

17. Why have I still not listened to Andrew Bird's new album. Or Fleet Foxes. There just a room away..

18. You know I ain't the type to walk around wearing matching shirts.... yes I am.

19. There were times when I needed someone... you have been by my side. Don't see that ever changing.

20. It's important we communicate, too bad I live alone in my head.

21. It don't take a whole day to recognize sunshine, so why are there shady patches.

22. I haven't felt this good in how long? So long. Maybe it's unnatural, but I'm so down.

23. There is a light that shines special for you and me, even if it's red.

24. I thought two of my customers were prostitutes today. Not because they looked the part, which they did, but, this older swank lady said something of the sort, all friendly like, and I think I just overheard it wrong because it would have been way too weird.

25. Yes, I will keep drinking water.

England

The thing is, Chicago is awesome, but everywhere I turn, I fall for some British band or artist. I never was into England or British culture, outside of the early punk scene, but... I owe them some credit. They're more than just stuck up stiffies. I want to go. I do. It also helps that they're English speakers.

As for travel, I really want to go to South America, but I have to learn Spanish and Portuguese first. Fuck.

So my super cheesy TV sitcom crush is in a great band, and English. Who knew? I sure as hell didn't. I appreciate it.

Also, crust is really interesting.

I wish I skated today, I missed it. What a beautiful day.

Newbie

The thing is, I've been replacing my social life with Scrubs, and I love it. Anyway.

I don't really know how to blog. The act of being a blogger is frustrating for me. I don't want to be completely vain and ramble about myself (as I am), but I don't know what else to write about, seeing as my life is all around me.

Skateboarding has been a life saver. I mean, of course I'm a waste of space out there, but it's been heavenly. The act of skating, and the people involved, I owe much thanks... even though I'm completely awkward out there and barely mumble a few words outside of those shared with Mere. One day I won't be the weirdo mumbling in the corner.

I haven't touched a piano since I decided to change my major.

I suck, horribly, with money.

I am all over the place these days, but that's OK...

I just wouldn't mind an ipod, my new tattoo, time to skate, clarity, and taco money.
